2015 Tony Grainger Design - Barefoot 40 Owner's version

A design built to cross oceans to exotic cruising grounds and share your adventure with family and friends, Barefoot cats are Graingers premier performance cruising designs that come with either dagger boards or mini keels as an option.

They are designed for ocean crossing capability with good bridge deck clearance and fine performance characteristics.

Equipped with a fully battered mainsail (2021) with 3 reefing points in a new sail bag (2024), Self tacking headsail on a profurler and NEW Code 0 (2023) with new pro furl NEX continuous furler. All sails are managed by the 5 x Lewmar 44 2-speed self tailing winches & 2 x Lewmar 48 2-speed self tailing winches.

With mini keels and hulls upto waterline built in foam composite by Noosa Marine, and above this with end grain balsa by the owner, Exhale is no exception when it comes to reputable build quality combined with sleek modern looks and a practical layout. Featuring duel helms and controls for improved visibility and easy of handling. On top of this both of the helm stations with their stainless steel wheels are managed by Marcon hydraulic steering rams keeping the steering light and easy.

High quality B&G electronics are at your fingertips including the Zues 3 12" display, NAC-3 Autopilot with duel controllers, Halo 20+ radar, AIS and plenty more!

Powered by 2 Yanmar 30HP diesel engines with SD20 sail drives using K4 electronic controllers leading to both helm stations means ample and smooth power delivery when the sails are down.

Next to the galley the saloon area has a drop down table that can convert into multiple different sizes for your convenience. A comfortable L- shaped lounge is situated opposite the the navigation station which would be well suited as an office space at anchor with panoramic water views.

The starboard hull is the owner's side with a spacious aft cabin and a cosy double berth, massive storage area midships as well as the electrical switch board and an ensuite bathroom with full shower and head forward. The port hull features an aft cabin with a double berth, a spacious queen berth forward and ensuite bathroom with shower and head in the bow.
