The Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36 is a very comfortable, easy to manage, offshore rated, cruising catamaran.
Based on an Olivier Flahault design and with a Joubert/Nivelt hull, the Mahe 36 is a proven seaworthy cruising Cat with comfortable, bright living areas and a fully protected cockpit alongside the saloon. This 2007 Mahe 36 allows you to move around freely onboard, enjoying comfort when sailing (at the helm, in the cockpit or down below) or while moored. It also boasts excellent sailing performance.
'Flat Out' feels much larger than a 36ft Catamaran. The bathroom is a large stand up, with a big shower, larger than most Catamarans. No comforts have been spared with a fully automatic washing machine, which can be run using the vessel's ample battery storage fed by 3 x 200 Watt Solar Panels and 2 x 500 Watt wind turbines. A 3000w inverter (6000w maximum output) is rigged up to all power points ensuring you can run almost any household device.
In August 2022, the boat was hauled out and extensively upgraded including new windlass, new canvas and clears, new interior and exterior upholstery, new B&G Instrument system including Vulcan Chartplotter & VHF radio with AIS, new portside engine (Volvo Penta D1-20) and the Starboard engine had a major service.
She also includes a Zodiac tender with a Honda 4 stroke 20hp electric start tilt trim outboard and a 5hp 4 stroke Honda back up outboard. These were all purchased new 2022.. There is a 2.2 kilowatt Genset (purchased 2022), An up-to-date EPIRB and life rings are included and there are loads of spares including new water pumps, hoses, fittings and electrical components.
The owners have just returned from two and a half years cruising the Qld coast and say that their Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36 is easily sailed single handed, is safe and really comfortable as a liveaboard home on the water with room for all the comforts of home.
