Sula's cruising histroy testifies to the fact that she is a seriously strong, safe ocean going vessel for around Australia, Pacific Island or a World circumnavigation.
Boards and kick up rudders, this professionally built unpainted hull and non skid painted deck, basic and practical interior fit out in lightweight panels used in the aerospace industry, elevated protected steering station on the starboard side, Sula has cruised the Kimberley, East Coast, Soloman islands and Tasmania extensively. Relatively narrow at the waterline with flared hulls above, Sula is easily driven being just 7 tons lightship. Powered by a 110hp yanmar diesel (top speed 10 kts), located in the port hull amidships, driving through a lowerable long shaft and large three blade fixed propellor, with the powerful bow thruster makes manouvering effortless in marinas.
There is a double and a single forward in each hull and a Queen aft in the starboard hull.
The practical and well equipped galley is in the starboard hull amidships and all galley gear as well as crockery, cutlery etc is included.
The Standing rigging is new April 2022 and the sailing systems are in very good condition. The wishbone main, while unusual, the owner says works well once you get familiar with it. The working sails are Dacron, the furler on the headsail is Facnor tape drive rather than rope and works seamlessly.
The cockpit is weather protected and the dinghy and outboard are easily launched and retrieved using the davits.
With her super strong, low maintenance aluminium construction, kick up up rudders and dagger boards, Sula Sula is well suited to expedition / adventure cruising to places most owners of production catamarans may think twice about visiting....
