Her present owner bought her in Langkawi 2012 and sailed to Darwin through Indonesia to Townsville & Whitsundays. In 2014 he headed off Around top end through the Kimberlie to Perth where he was based for 2 yrs then sailed to the east coast across the Bight, around Tasmania and north to Southport. He then cruised to New Caledonia returning to the Boat Works to haul out, anti foul, worked through his list of maintenance jobs to get her ready for sea then accepted a mining job in the Pilbara, hence boat for sale.
Adelaide has a spacious saloon area with a craftsman new guinea rosewood fitout, two double cabins forward with ensuites and two athwartships double cabins aft. Galley is down in the starboard hull. Electric systems were upgraded, she has 600 watts of solar so is never low on passive power.
Easily handled by one or a couple, this cat's point's of difference is that she is shaft driven, her strong aluminium construction makes her almost indestructible, and with kick up rudders and dagger boards she is beachable for a bottom scrub in those remote cruising grounds.
Aluminium is strong, resilient and very forgiving, keeping you safer in the unlikely event of a collision with a floating semi submersed object at sea.
