HUGE PRICE REDUCTION ! OWNER IS REALISTIC SO BE QUICK BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE GRABS THIS FABULOUS CAT !
Farrier's design philosophy was "to provide a safe, spacious, strong, practical cruising catamaran that also offers outstanding performance and handling... But not at the expense of safety or structural integrity". The rig features, an aluminium wing section rotating mast (Fosters NZ) that Farrier says "is very efficient and gives excellent overall sailing performance, especially to windward"The owner absolutely agrees and was incredibly impressed by Duette's sailing performance on all points of the wind as well as her ability to handle the roughest seas on his cruise to New Caledonia this year. Maximum speed achieved 20Kts( down a wave but hey... Still 20 kts)
She has near new main and screecher, new standing rigging and is in cruise ready condition.
Duette was built to NZ commercial survey by Gavin Cooke Boatbuilders in Christchurch but never chartered. Cooke's have taken the proven Farrier design and X-tended by two feet, the stern scoops for better motion at sea, increased load carrying, improved sailing performance. The result is a build of exceptional strength, quality, safety and finish.
The style of Duette is timeless. Lines and shapes flow. Windows and ports are perfectly located to enhance the feelings of freedom, openness, light and air.
Sail controls are a breeze from either helm. Single handed sailing can be the norm. Galley is up on the bridgedeck - you can be part of the action! Add the three queen cabins, a 'work room', two bathrooms and heads, great outdoors area and so much more.
The result is an ideal ocean girdler and home no matter the conditions outside!
Build cost was $1.5Million NZ

Remarks
She was built in Christchurch and sailed to Auckland for sale where she was purchased by the previous owner. She cruised the north of New Zealand and sailed to Sydney in 2006. She then spent the cruising season's along the east coast of Australia chasing the sun, surf, fish and dreams.
We sold her to the present owner three years ago, who has enjoyed cruising and maintaining his precious and much loved possession. Aging family means his cruising plans a curtailed for the next couple of years so boat is realistically for sale.
Built at a cost of $1.5 Mil NZ, Duette has been maintained to the highest standard offering that perfect combination of performance and comfort... Presented in cruise ready condition having just returned from a New Caledonia cruise.
Duette is a proven design, and of a build and quality rarely found. Far removed from the charter 'concept', Duette is truly unique. Simply she is a boat that 'works'.
