Built by Prout Catamarans, Essex, England to the highest standards and launched in 1999, hull number 27 sailed the waters of Scotland with her original ( very famous) owner until 2010 when her second and present Danish owner(a genuine Viking) bought her to "Do his Dream" of exploring the icy waters of Patagonia.... Beagle channel, Magellan Straits, Cape Horn, experiencing Glaciers, Icebergs, storm force winds and spectacular antartic scenery.
He wanted a strongly built, high quality, all weather catamaran to explore the inhospitable waters of Argentinia, Patagonia and off course the tropical cruising grounds of the Pacific Islands on his way to Australia.
"Ydren Norrebro"has proved to be comfortable, safe, easy to handle with her electric primary Harken winches and mast set back next to the helm station with all lines conveniently located in the cockpit.
The saloon is spacious offering panoramic views while seated. The three cabin, two bathroom owner's layout with a queen beds aft in each hull and a double just forward of the saloon is perfect for a cruising family or a cruising couple.
The owner reports that he very comfortably criuised under sail at 8 kts in tradewind conditions. The motion at sea is gentle even in rough conditions which makes her very comfortable as a livaboard vessel.
