Details
The general design philosophy was to provide a practical level of redundancy for long distance cruising within acceptable weight limits.

Sail handling is achieved by a husband and wife crew thanks largely to a Leisure furl carbon fibre boom furler for the mainsail, which is controlled by electric winch from the bridge allowing hoisting, dropping and reefing to be bridge controlled. The boom is also fitted with a solid vang. Main and jib sheets are also on electric winches at the bridge. The jib is self-tacking on a profurl system. The screacher is fitted to a hinging prodder fwd on a profurl system and sheeted to electric winches in the cockpit. Mainsheet traveler is electrically controlled via bridge joystick.

Conservative range under power with a clean bottom at 8 knots is close to 1,000 miles.
There is a single Genset fitted in the port engine room with large capacity house battery alternator and fridge compressor driven from the stbd main engine. In the event of a Genset failure or damage to the port engine room (e. G. Flooding) batteries can still be charged and fridge and freezer kept cold. The inverter will then power the convection microwave, and the gas BBQ provides a backup hotplate.
